Let's get started!

It's the start of a new school term and the beginning of my new A2 Media project! I've got a few options to choose from and I need to make sure I have a thorough look at everything that is available on my course before I begin to narrow down my project choice.

The firs thing I decided to do was check out the specification for the OCR course.

OCR A2 Media Studies Specification

I am aiming for top band, so I have taken note of the mark scheme for highest tier:

Level 4 (16-20 Marks)

• Excellent understanding of the forms and conventions used in the productions
• Excellent understanding of the combination of main product and ancillary texts
• Excellent understanding of the signifigance of audience feedback
• Excellent ability to communicate
• Excellent use of digital technology or ICT in the evulation

From looking at the specification and guidelines for the course, i realised there are a lot of different project choices, but only just three overall ideas: music video, horror trailer and short film.
